Abdul Fatah Qudsiya

Position: Head of Military Intelligence

The United States government sanctioned General Qudsiya on May 20, 2011, for his role, as head of Military Intelligence (MI), in attacks and arrests of protesters and political activists.[1]

According to the BBC, Qudsiya and his agency are tasked with protecting President Assad and ensuring army loyalty. Known to be brutally effective, MI has been accused of attacking and detaining protesters and is considered responsible for numerous civilian deaths.[2]
