Elaine Dezenski

Biography:

Elaine Dezenski serves on the Board of Advisors of the Center on Sanctions and Illicit Finance at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and is a Senior Adviser to the Financial Integrity Network.

Bringing more than twenty years of senior level of experience in public, private, and international organizations, she is an internationally recognized expert and thought leader in security policy, with special expertise in anti-corruption, supply chain security, global risk management, and border management.

As Senior Director and Head of the World Economic Forum’s Partnering Against Corruption Initiative from 2012-2015, Ms. Dezenski was responsible for growing the leading global private sector-driven anti-corruption initiative.  She recruited and cultivated CEO and senior level communities of interest, engaging in policy development, conducting research and implementing advocacy strategies around key global challenges, and assessing the impact of corruption on a broad range of economic, societal, environmental, and geopolitical topics.  From 2010-2012, she launched the Forum’s Risk Response Network, a global platform for addressing a broad range of macro level risks and their implications on business and society.

Previous positions include senior level political and career positions at the US Department of Homeland Security (2002-2006), including serving as Acting Assistant Secretary for Policy (2005-2006).  She also served as Managing Director of the Global Security Initiative at Interpol; Senior Vice President at Cross Match Technologies; and various managerial roles at Siemens Corporation.

She has a deep passion and commitment to helping organizations achieve real impact through innovative policy, advocacy and agenda setting; and employing risk-based tools and strategies for better decision making and analysis to combat a range of global threats, including corruption and illicit finance.

Ms. Dezenski is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
