Michaela Frai

Research Associate

Biography:

Michaela Frai is FDD’s research associate for the Latin America project. She focuses on Iran and Hezbollah’s influence in the region as well as local illicit financing networks.
Previously, she was a research assistant for the Latin America program. She received a B.A. from the George Washington University in International Affairs with a concentration in Security Policy and a minor in Sociocultural Anthropology. Michaela speaks Portuguese, Spanish and Hebrew, and has traveled widely in Brazil and elsewhere in Latin America.

On Thursday, the U.S. used its latest round of sanctions on 10 current and former government officials to emphasize its commitment to denouncing fraudulent elections in Venezuela as well as promoting the human rights of those suffering under Maduro’s corrupt regime.
