The Big Win for Iran’s Revolutionary Guards?

Please join FDD this Friday, September 18 at 8:30am for a timely breakfast conversation to discuss how the Iran deal affects the Revolutionary Guards.  The conversation will feature FDD Senior Fellows Ali Alfoneh and Emanuele Ottolenghi, each of whom has written defining books on the IRGC and who have delved into how sanctions relief is structured in ways that will benefit key players and policies of the IRGC. Sanctions expert and FDD Executive Director Mark Dubowitz will also be featured in the conversation moderated by John Hannah. The event will take place on Capitol Hill—Room TBA.

Role of Sanctions in the Iran Nuclear Agreement

The Heritage Foundation hosted an event on August 13  to analyze the state of sanctions following the nuclear agreement with Iran. 

The event, Assessing the Iran Nuclear Agreement: Placing Sanctions in Context, focuses on the remaining sanctions architecture of the U.S. and E.U., the possibility of 'snapback sanctions' if Iran violates the deal, and explores alternatives to the agreement moving forward.
