Orde Kittrie Speaks at Yale University

Orde F. Kittrie, an FDD Senior Fellow and Arizona State University law professor, was a speaker at Yale University on Tuesday, January 24.   Kittrie gave an Eliezer Society lecture.    Previous Eliezer Society speakers have included Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, U.S. Court of Appeals Judge (and former Yale law school dean) Guido Calabresi, Israel Supreme Court  Chief Justice Aharon Barak, and U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman.    Kittrie spoke on the topic, “Combatting Iran’s Nuclear Program Using Sanctions and other Types of Lawfare.”

Kittrie is a leading expert on nonproliferation legal issues and sanctions. He has testified on nonproliferation issues before both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives and served as one of 12 members of a special Congressionally-created committee to make recommendations on how to better prevent the proliferation of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons.  Prior to joining the law faculty, Kittrie served for 11 years in the U.S. State Department, including as the lead attorney for nuclear affairs.
