The Foundation for Defense of Democracies' Center for Terrorism Research (CTR) is proud to present its newest publication, CTR Vantage. CTR Vantage provides law enforcement, members of the intelligence community, academics, researchers, and other counterterrorism practitioners with enhanced knowledge of the terrorist threat to the West through the publication of in-depth themed issues. Each issue will concentrate on a topic of particular relevance; this initial publication, for example, focuses on the al-Shabaab recruitment in the West that is currently of great concern to American and other Western officials. CTR studies terrorist movements and the ideologies that drive them, and seeks to identify how major trends in these areas will affect terrorism and counterterrorism efforts in the West. CTR Vantage is designed to further CTR's mission by using its research and analytical capabilities to illuminate multiple angles of contemporary problems related to terrorism in the West.
