Building on its groundbreaking research, the Center for Terrorism Research (CTR) applies its knowledge to provide training, support, and strategic advice to law enforcement agencies, government agencies, and private corporations. CTR offers an array of services, including training seminars, briefing materials, and strategic communications.

Our Services

Training Seminars

CTR has produced a number of in-depth presentations on the global war on terror. Each training seminar is specifically tailored to the client’s needs. One of CTR’s experts will deliver a detailed and comprehensive PowerPoint presentation, often supplemented by a live-action exercise. The Center has developed training material for the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Anti-Terrorism Assistance, and has delivered training seminars for U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office (Long Island, NY), and federal, state, and local law enforcement officers in South Carolina. Additionally,

  • CTR has delivered training seminars to provide border officers with cutting-edge intelligence-based policing techniques. The program includes over 200 pages in original written material.
  • CTR has designed a multi-day training course to help prison officials recognize and mitigate prison radicalization.
  • CTR offers introductory and advanced courses that provide the building blocks for understanding terrorist ideology and strategy.
  • CTR has conducted a groundbreaking analysis of the radicalization process for homegrown terrorists. This analysis has been showcased in presentations to the LAPD’s Joint Regional Intelligence Conference and the Manhattan Institute’s “First Preventers: Policing After 9/11” conference.
  • CTR has also designed training on the likely impact of terrorism and extremism on relevant business sectors, and means of corporate adaptation.
