Foundation for Defense of Democracies focuses on European states, including long-standing allies and the newly liberated former Soviet republics of Central Asia. FDD senior fellow Emanuele Ottolenghi is based in Italy, and has testified regularly on foreign policy challenges before various bodies at the European Union, as well as before representatives of the U.S. government.
Berlin-based journalist and FDD fellow Benjamin Weinthal chronicles the involvement of various European and Asian corporations and banks in suspect or sanctioned activities in Iran and other rogue states, as well as the resurgence of anti-Semitism in European countries.
