Iran - Human Rights
As they maintain their stranglehold on power, Iran’s leaders continually violate the rights of their people. And while everyday Iranians suffer under this regime, it is homosexuals, adherents to the Bahai faith, and other minorities who are often targeted with particular ferocity.
Through its Iran Human Rights Project, the Foundation for Defense of Democracies provides research on the regime’s human rights abuses, tracks international companies that make them possible, and identifies policy options for lawmakers to pressure the regime to abandon its repressive activities.

FDD’s Executive Director Mark Dubowitz leads the project, and regularly testifies before the U.S. Congress and advises executive branch staffers based on his analysis.
FDD’s Berlin-based fellow Benjamin Weinthal also continues to uncover relationships between international companies and the Iranian regime, highlighting Iran’s gross human rights violations.
