Deal: According to Iran's Press TV, Petropars awarded a $1.8 billion construction deal to four contractors, including the Italian firm Maire Tecnimont and Iranian companies Nargan, Dorriz and Gamma. "The deal includes the construction of a gas treatment plant connected to Phase 12 of the South Pars gas field. Under the terms of the deal, the plant will be able to process 3 billion cubic feet of gas a day and should be completed by the end of 2012" (Press TV (Iran), July 7, 2009).

Deal: According to Chemical Week, in January 2001 Maire Tecnimont confirmed that it had won three major contracts to build plants in Iran for Jam Petrochemical Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the country's National Petroleum Company (NPC). The values of the deals totaled €350 million (Chemical Week, January 24, 2001). Iran's Mehr News Agency announced that the Jam Petrochemical's 10th olefin project, a hydrocarbon plant, would be officially inaugurated in June 2008. The report listed Maire Tecnimont, France's Technip, Germany's Krupp Uhde and Iran's Nargan and Sazeh companies as contractors on the project. (Steel Guru, June 22, 2008).
