Mid-career National Security Network Programming

The Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD’s) National Security Network (NSN) is comprised of individuals who have completed FDD’s National Security Fellows Program (NSFP), the National Security Trips to Israel, and/or the Military Trip to Israel. Alumni enjoy year-round programming which includes off-the-record dinner briefings with high-level policy influencers, opportunities to collaborate with their peers and FDD experts, and other exclusive events.

National Security Fellows Program (NSFP)

FDD sponsors a competitive National Security Fellows Program (NSFP) for the next generation of U.S. national security leaders. Fellows demonstrate immense career promise and are keenly concerned with securing the interests of the United States. The program includes thought-provoking national security discussions as well as opportunities for professional development, networking, mentorship, and the opportunity to participate in the NSFP Trip to Israel. Military Trip to Israel

FDD organizes an annual Military Trip to Israel for active duty personnel in the U.S. military. Throughout the week, trip participants will travel around Israel to visit elite military installations, participate in meetings with high-level Israeli and American decision-makers, and take part in a counterterrorism training exercise with former Israeli Special Forces. National Security Trip to Israel

FDD’s National Security Trip to Israel is a seven day trip for D.C.-area professionals pursuing careers in national security and counterterrorism. The selected participants will be accompanied by FDD experts throughout the trip. Upon completion of the program, participants become members of FDD’s National Security Alumni Network, an alumni community comprised of over 300 mid-career national security practitioners.
