Reza Jafari

Position: Head of Special Prosecution of Cyber Crime

Sanctions: European Union (May 23, 2012)

The European Union sanctioned Reza Jafari in May 2012 for human rights violations. As Head of Special Prosecution of Cyber Crime, Jafari is in charge of the arrests, questioning, torture, and detentions of journalist and bloggers deemed threatening to the Iranian government, according to the Official Journal of the European Union.[1]
