Deal:   According to Fars News Agency, in July 2009, Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry (ZPMC) and ADHK, a Spanish marine oil and gas explorer, signed a $2.2 billion contract with the Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) for “offshore facilities and engineering products,” specifically offshore jack-up drilling platforms, drilling rigs, and float cranes. The products were expected to “be delivered to [IOEC] by July 2010” (Fars News Agency, July 29, 2009). The current status of the project is not clear.

Deal:   According to Zawya in June 2010, Iran’s National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) “awarded a shipbuilding contract worth $110 million (Dh 403.7 m) to Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC)” (Zawya, June 13, 2010). The current status of the project is not clear.
