Date: 2007 – Unknown

Deal: By August 2009, according to a Ukrainian business publication, the state-owned Ukrainian pump and compressor company Zorya Mashproekt had shipped Iran its first batch of equipment under a contract signed for eight engines in 2007. At the time, the company claimed that 32 of its engines were operating in Iran (Ukraine Business Daily, August 5, 2009).

Date: 2008 – Ongoing

Deal: According to an industry publication, in 2008, Zorya Mashproekt signed a contract with Iran Power Plant Project Management (MAPNA) to supply 58 turbocompressors under a five-year, $225 million contract. In January 2009, the company shipped the first batch of energy equipment. In 2008, the company also signed a framework agreement with MAPNA to supply 42 additional turbocompressors (Power Engineering International, January 30, 2009).

Date: April 2009 – June 2010

Deal: In April 2009, Zorya Mashproekt signed a deal to supply Iran with six engines for a compressor station, according to an industry publication. The Ukrainian company made its last delivery under this contract in June 2010 ( TendersInfo, July 21, 2010).

Date: August 2009 – Ongoing

Deal: A Ukrainian publication announced in August 2009 that Zorya Mashproekt would supply equipment for the IGAT-7 gas pipeline Iran is building. The pipeline will be supplied with gas from the South Pars field, and will run from Iran to Pakistan (Ukraine Business Daily, August 5, 2009).

Date: April 2010 – Ongoing

Deal: In April 2010, Zorya Mashproekt signed a contract with Iranian firm ParsCars Ltd. to supply engines for gas pumping stations in Iran, according to an industry publication. Zorya Mashproekt made its first shipment in June and expects the second shipment to be made in August (TendersInfo, July 21, 2010).

According to an Iranian news agency, Zorya Mashproekt advertising manager Volodymyr Pluzhnikov claimed that his company would continue to business with Iran despite sanctions. The company has done business with Iran since 1996 (Islamic Republic News Agency(Iran), April 25, 2010).

U.S. Business Ties: Zorya Mashproekt does not appear to have any business in the United States, and according to USASpending.gov, it has received no U.S. government contracts (USASpending.gov, accessed August 20, 2014).
